THE VINEYARD

The roots of everything

The story of Leonardo and Narni

LAND AND CLIMATE

Soil & Microclimate

Narni is an ancient place. The hills surrounding the medieval city hold a clay and limestone soil, rich in minerals, that drains water slowly and forces the roots to reach deep. It is from this tension — between summer drought and cold winters, between poor soil and generous light — that the personality of our wines is born.
The vineyards lie between 190 and 290 metres above sea level, spread across three hills: Colle Ozio, Colle Pizzuto and Brecciaro. Each has a different character — the sandy soil of Ràmici in Alviano, the rocky terrain of Brecciaro, the compact clay of Colle Ozio. The same grape, on different soils, tells different stories.

THE GRAPE VARIETY

The Ciliegiolo of Narni

There is a grape variety that belongs to this land like no other: the Ciliegiolo of Narni. Not the Tuscan Ciliegiolo, not a generic variety — but a local biotype, selected over centuries by human hands and the character of this soil.
Leonardo Bussoletti has dedicated his work to this grape variety. To its small, intense berries, its natural freshness, its ability to be at once immediate and profound. In its younger expressions it is a wine of pleasure, for the table and for friends. In the CRUs — Brecciaro, Ràmici, Grifo di Narnia — it becomes something rarer: a wine that tells of a precise place, a specific vintage, a vineyard with a name.
All production is organic, certified by Suolo e Salute. Not as a trend, but out of respect — for the land, for those who drink it, for the work of those who will come after.
